Review: The HP Palm TouchPad
Palm is back, albeit in a form that speaks more to HP's cost-cutting measures than to the heavy duty devices you remember. WebOS and the Palm TouchPad are nearly perfect, an excellent amalgamation of everything that was ever right about Palm. But is even perfection, in this market, enough? Without a strong app base and some work on performance issues, the TouchPad may be the most beautiful dead end we have seen yet. But there is hope.

Lady Gaga's Meat Dress Stays Fresh At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame
Lady Gaga at the 2010 VMAs
Photo: Kevin Mazur/ Getty Images
Oh, that meat dress! Nearly a year after Lady Gaga wore it at the MTV Video Music Awards, the costume made of various cuts of meat that designer Franc Fernandez and stylist Nicola Formichetti put together is still making headlines.
On Thursday (June 16), that dress will join the "Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power'' exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, where it will sit on display along with Gaga's childhood piano and Armani Prive orbit gown, which she wore to the 2011 Grammys, until February 2012.
"I was talking to Lady Gaga's managers, and this is probably around November [of last year], and basically talked about different things, and we talked about the meat dress and we thought it would be great to add it to the exhibit just because of all the notoriety it has, so that's basically how it came about," RRHOF chief curator Jim Henke told MTV News. "We thought the meat dress would really be cool."
So, how will the folks at the Rock Hall keep it fresh until it wraps up its stint there? "It's going to be in a case and we are putting some canisters in there to control the humidity, and then we have this other canister that soaks up the glutens," he explained. "But it's in a sealed case and we have the gels to control the environment in there."
However, it took some work to get it to the point where it can hang around the Rock Hall along with a number of other high-profile memorabilia without seeming super-gross. Henke explained, "We went back to Franc Fernandez ... ultimately what we decided to do, we sent it to a taxidermist, they put it into a meat locker and then we started working on it and created this [chemical] solution and treated it with that.
"And then they had a body form, and when it was still wet, they put it on the body form and then it dried on there," he continued. "And then they had to do a little bit of painting to bring it back and give it a little bit more color."
Gaga hasn't been shy about making the dress into jerky or wanting to have her extensive wardrobe in a museum, as she shared on "The Graham Norton Show." "I keep everything and dream of having a museum of all my clothes. I have an archive house for all my clothes," she said. "[The dress has] been jerked. It stank. It was fabulous. I never want to talk to anyone at those big celebrity functions because I feel awkward, and it was great — because it stunk, I didn't have to talk to anyone."
Having the dress in the exhibit is quite an honor and it's an interesting piece, but Henke notes this isn't the most bizarre exhibit at the RRHOF. "Definitely one of the stranger pieces," he laughed about the dress, adding, "There are some other weird things. We actually have [pioneering radio DJ] Alan Freed's ashes."

New Tupac Tracks Dis B.I.G., Diddy, More
Tupac
Photo: Chi Modu
Tupac Shakur's rigorous recording habits ensured that the late rapper would continue to make a musical impact, even in the afterlife. Since his death in 1996, fans have been treated to albums' worth of posthumous 'Pac records, but the two records that leaked onto the Internet late Tuesday night are sure to cause a stir.
A far cry from Shakur's uplifting tunes like "Changes" and " 'Til the End of Time," the two new tracks, "NY 87" and an alternate version of the little-known "Watch Yo Mouth," take aim at East Coast rap artists like the Notorious B.I.G., Diddy, Mobb Deep, Nas, De La Soul and former 'Pac ally Dr. Dre.
Both songs appear to have been recorded circa 1996, when 'Pac was in a feud with Diddy's Bad Boy record label and various other New York artists, including the Notorious B.I.G. It was around this time when Shakur recorded and released his two most famous dis tracks, "Hit 'Em Up" and "Against All Odds" from his The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory album, which he recorded under the alias Makaveli.
While "Watch Yo Mouth" is being touted as a new track, the song popped up online over two years ago. The version that was leaked this week has an alternate beat behind it, but the words remain the same. On it, the fiery Shakur begins with a barrage of Dr. Dre insults: "He ain't made a beat in six years, swear he the sh--/ Won't get no record sales suckin' Nas' di--." Nasty Nas also gets thrown under the bus as 'Pac compares the two rappers' record sales. De La Soul, Wendy Williams, Diddy and the Notorious B.I.G. all get ridiculed. Even in his lyrical tirade, the rapper attempts to downplay the much-hyped East Coast/ West Coast beef of the mid-1990s by chanting, "For my n---as on the east side" throughout the song.
"NY 87," however, is a different story. Featuring raps by Tha Dogg Pound (Daz and Kurupt) and Threat, the bass-heavy dis track starts with a monologue from DJ Quik declaring, "Them n-----s on the East is the enemy." Though the track is being labeled on the Net as a 'Pac track, it is Tha Dogg Pound who are prominently featured. Appearing only on the last verse, 'Pac doesn't name-check any artists, but he does spit, "Move mother----ers 'til they feel me/ It's West Coast n---a, f--- New York, now did everybody hear me?"
As of now it is unknown who released these tracks and why. The timing comes a little more than one week after Dexter Isaacs spoke to AllHipHop.com about his involvement in the 1994 robbery and non-fatal shooting of Shakur and after the hip-hop community celebrated what would've been Tupac's 40th birthday on June 16. Many have speculated that the feud between Tupac and Biggie is what led to the deaths of both rappers. Those rumors have never been confirmed.
What do you think of these two posthumous Tupac songs? Tell us in the comments.

Justin Bieber's Grammy Performance Will Be 'A Crossover,' Usher Says
Usher
Photo: Amanda Edwards/ Getty Images
HOLLYWOOD — At Sunday's 53rd Grammy Awards, Usher will be pulling double duty as both a nominee and a performer. Of course, given the massive year he just completed — with the success of his smash single "O.M.G." and as a mentor to rising phenom Justin Bieber — Ush's Grammy plans seem rather fitting.
Especially since he'll be performing with Bieber (and Bieber's pal Jaden Smith), a move that's just as much about celebrating Usher's successes as it is the successes of his young protégé.
"Having been through [the Grammys] so many times, you couldn't want for anything more than for your young protégé to have the opportunity to have one, so, in support of him having his moment, I wanted to be here," Usher told MTV News on Thursday, hours before his performance at the (Belvedere) RED launch party in Hollywood. "And also to be there to perform, to kind of tell the story of how we came together. This music business has definitely been good to both of us, and this year we have a lot to be happy for."
And just how will the dynamic duo tell that story? Well, Usher wasn't about to reveal all the details, but he did say that he's hoping their performance will show another side of Bieber ... a side most tend to overlook.
"The performance will be fun," Usher explained. "We want to get up there and just do what we do. Be comfortable, and have a great time. ... This is kind of a crossover for Justin. Having performed on so many different stages, this is the way that I wanted him to be seen and an opportunity to show the industry — a lot of the industry, that didn't believe [in him] — some of his other talents. He's going to play acoustically, and also, we'll get down a little bit."
And though Ush is up for a pair of Grammy awards on Sunday — Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Contemporary R&B Album for Raymond v. Raymond — he's most looking forward to sharing the stage with Bieber and giving fans a look at where the young artist will be heading next.
"I'm very proud, man. I definitely saw it from the beginning, but thanks to the team that we have around us, it was made to happen. And that story has only just begun," Usher said. "The story of Justin Bieber doesn't stop with screaming girls; we need screaming fans all around the world ... a cultural experience that's much more than just fanfare. And that's what this is. That's what the Grammys will be; that's what my next phase for Justin is. This is the way I found him: I found him with a guitar in his hand, so I want him to be seen that way."
Don't miss "Snooki & Sway: Live From the Grammys," a red-carpet live stream kicking off Sunday at 6 p.m. ET on MTV.com. And stick with us all Grammy night for coverage of the red carpet, the show, the afterparties and beyond!

Audrina Patridge, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert Share Prom Memories
Audrina Patridge
Photo: MTV News
It's prom season, and that means high schoolers across this great land will be renting tuxes, buying fancy dresses and negotiating the details of their curfews with parents. So, before you take your pictures and get in your limos, we asked some Hollywood A-listers to recall their fondest prom memories.
"I had a great prom," Ne-Yo told MTV News. "I didn't get to go with who I wanted to go with. I got my second choice, but my second choice turned out to be the one I was supposed to be there with, so it turned out good."
Ke$ha, never one to say no to a party, had the best night of all her friends. "I went to prom with my gay best friend, and let me tell you, I had way more fun than anybody else at a prom with their boyfriends," she recalled. "Everybody else was, like, crying and drama and breaking up, and me and my gay best friend just danced until 8 a.m."
"Hellcats" star Aly Michalka doesn't have a favorite prom memory — because she never went to prom. "I was homeschooled, so I don't even think we had a fake prom," she lamented. "Like, maybe we had a home-school prom and I wasn't invited?"
While everything always seems to be in peril on "The Vampire Diaries," star Nina Dobrev had a less tumultuous night: "Having everyone get together and such a final celebration [is what I remember]."
Romeo went big for his prom. "My senior prom, I remember I pulled up in my red Ferrari. I was feeling like James Bond," he said. "And it was one of the best nights of my life."
"My favorite prom memory was probably going shopping for a dress, and our boyfriends at the time dressed up as 'Dumb & Dumber,' " Audrina Patridge laughed. "And so we were like, 'We can't dress up dorky ... we have to look good.' "
Roots drummer ?uestlove made a big decision on the night of his prom: "June 2, 1989, was my very last haircut; prom haircut, totally butchered my hair. He butchered my hair, and I vowed never again to ever get in a barber chair, so I grew that Afro on my prom night."
Adam Lambert said his prom date was a 10, so he definitely had a fun night. "I had a great prom. I had an awesome time," he said. "I went with one of my best friends in high school. Her name was Lauren, and she was really hot. She wore a really hot red dress, so I felt like I had arm candy."
Share your prom memories in the comments below!

Justin Bieber Passes Michael Jackson's Box-Office Record
Justin Bieber in "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never"
Photo: Paramount Pictures
Michael Jackson may have dubbed himself the King of Pop, but the late icon didn't hold the box-office crown for long. Less than a year after the posthumous MJ documentary "This Is It" became the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, Justin Bieber is poised to snatch the mantle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has earned $72.2 million in domestic box office so far, passing Jackson's $72.1 million haul. And while Bieber has racked up those impressive numbers in just six weeks, he's got a long way to go before he laps the global receipts for the MJ doc.
"This Is It" has grossed $189.1 million overseas for a global total of $261.2 million. Music films don't typically play well overseas, and THR noted that "Never Say Never" has grossed a more modest $10.8 million overseas so far, with Paramount executives predicting that it could top out around $20 million internationally.
The impressive U.S. numbers were likely goosed by the re-release of the film recently with 40 additional minutes of bonus footage from director Jon M. Chu. Bieber still has a little way to go to climb the list of the top-grossing documentaries of all time. "Never Say Never" is currently stalled out at the #3 position, around $5 million behind "March of the Penguins," according to Box Office Mojo, and well short of the all-time record held by Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," which has taken in $119.1 million to date.
Bieber set off a classic MJ-style fan frenzy a few weeks ago when he visited Liverpool, England, for his world tour. And just a week later, he posed with his new wax figure at London's Madame Tussauds, checking off another item on the list of milestones to an MJ-like career.

George Clooney's Next Girlfriend Should Be...
Hugh Hefner's Lifetime Wedding Special Will Go On
The Playboy founder, 85, was set to marry his girlfriend, Crystal Harris, 25, on June 18, with cameras rolling. TV producers planned to edit the footage into a Lifetime TV special about the nuptials (Hefner's third time down the aisle). But on June 14, Hef notified his fans that the wedding was canceled. "Crystal has had a change of heart," he tweeted. So it seemed obvious that the TV special, too, would be nixed. But not so fast.
Late on Tuesday, Hef took to Twitter again, delivering the news that the TV show would in fact go on. "The marriage special planned for Lifetime TV is now going to have a 'runaway bride' theme & will air in July," Hefner wrote.
What will such a show look like? He hasn't given details, and Lifetime hasn't confirmed the plan. But some of his former girlfriends, Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson, will make appearances. "Holly & Kendra [the stars of E!'s reality show The Girls Next Door] were here today lending their emotional support as we shot for the Lifetime TV special," he said. And no doubt we'll see footage of Hef ordering those "runaway bride" stickers that have been placed over his fiancee's photo on the July issue of Playboy.
He has also said that he spent his would-be wedding night watching the 1999 movie, Runaway Bride. If cameras weren't there to capture that scintillating footage, it would be easy enough to recreate it.
And of course there's the buxom blond who was waiting in the wings. (Isn't there's always another buxom blond waiting in the wings?) No doubt Anna Sophia Berglund will be featured in the TV special. He described her as "the one who helped me survive this past week." At the rate they're going, maybe there will be a televised wedding for Hef after all!

Yahoo! Messenger now censors the links you share
Well, it looks like our fears may actually have some basis in reality: Yahoo Messenger strips FilesTube links from instant messages. It doesn't tell either party that a URL has been removed from chat -- it just deletes it. Poof. FilesTube, in case you were wondering, is one of the largest file hosting meta search engines on the Web -- it indexes RapidShare, Megaupload, Mediafire, and many other 'cyberlocker' services.
It's fairly obvious why FilesTube links are being removed -- the Censor General at Yahoo is probably one of those perplexed primates who think all uses of BitTorrent are illegal -- but this situation poses a far more important question: is Yahoo censoring messages on the client side, or the server side. Does the messenger client itself maintain a list of 'blacklisted' words -- and if so, why are we not told that FilesTube links are banned? What other words and terms does Yahoo protect us from?Continue reading Yahoo! Messenger now censors the links you shareYahoo! Koscheck dislikes new shirt, Bonnar wants to pummel him
Koscheck's "Josh Koshbygosh" shirt is pretty cool, right? Not according to Bonnar, who claims Koscheck had his lawyers call about the t-shirt.
"He got wind of it and he didn't like it and I tried to explain it to him firsthand. 'Like, look we're doing them for all the fighters. It's kinda a joke, just cartoon versions of the fighters.' His version is called Josh Koshbygosh and he kinda looks like a Cabbage Patch doll, because he really does. Anyway, so he didn't like it," Bonnar told Five Knuckles. "Turns out we won't be able to sell his but we will be able to sell the other ones. I didn't think his was gonna sell too much anyway. We're getting hit up his lawyers at the moment, it's been a pain in the ass."
Bonnar also made some interesting comments about Koscheck and the now infamous sucker punch from Paul Daley.
"He actually inspired the idea, he talks so much [expletive] in the Daley fight and after the fight. The whole time I see Koscheck talking [expletive] to him on the ground, I thought it was hilarious and I was carrying on about it. Then sure I knew he was gonna get to Daley. Turns out afterward that he was saying terrible things about Daley's mom and all that. Well it's kinda understandable that Daley tried to punch him afterwards and sure enough he got to Daley. Daley lost his cool and punched him afterwards," Bonnar said. "I thought it was the funniest thing, like he is just a trash talking kid at heart."
UPDATE: Koscheck explained his side of the story to Bleacher Report
"This situation is very black and white," (Koscheck who is 14-4 in the UFC said). "There's a side of right and a side of wrong and I'm on the side of right. Stephan Bonnar and his company are on the side of wrong. I have an exclusive deal that is a conflict to use my image, to use my likeness, and to use my name."
"He spoke with myself and my manager Bob Cook at AKA when he was filming something for SpikeTV, he was in agreement and in an understanding that they would stop producing and making the shirt. Because I was about to get sued from my preexisting exclusive deal that I've had signed for two-years."
"He basically gave me no other choice, but to go after him legally because of the fact that I'm about to be sued from another company because of Stephan Bonnar and his antics."

Blake Paul: Jackson Hole's Backcountry Prince
First getting on-board in his birthplace of Vermont, Paul’s family moved to Jackson when he was seven. Spending nearly every winter day since exploring the ins and outs of Jackson Hole alongside a few early season trips to Utah, Paul has fine-tuned an all-mountain and thoroughly Jackson-esque “powder-jibber” style that has helped him stand out in a sport where young riders are increasingly funneling into a particular niche. With a bit of everything in his skill set, Paul credits his home mountain with fostering his versatility.
“Jackson molds you into a different type of rider,” Paul says. “People from Jackson, who grew up riding here, they almost have an advantage because they’re just riding gnarlier stuff all the time.”
It was his proficiency with Jackson pow that made Robinson take notice of Paul last January. Robinson says he didn’t think much when Alex Yoder, another Jackson native, introduced him to the then-17-year-old Paul, “But then we go and shred some pow and he just throws it down,” Robinson remembers. “We go to a kicker cliff and he lands like four sick tricks. We were just having a blast.”
Blake Paul cruising Jackson Hole from FunBlock Films on Vimeo.
With snowboarding as stratified as ever, Paul cites his Jackson-bred ability to ride it all as an advantage over other up-and-coming riders. “I think every kid coming up should ride everything,” Paul says, adding that he also knows it’s important to stand out. “That’s what will help you grow, if you create a style and image for yourself, and people recognize your style of riding.”
Paul says the Jackson parks haven’t always been up to par with other mountains, but that forces riders to explore the terrain more and develop tricks on natural features, something that resonated with Robinson.
“I followed him around Jackson and he knows all these cool little side-hits,” Robinson says. “I would just snowboard around behind him and get super psyched.” Listing Jed Anderson, Danny Davis and Nicolas Müller as major influences on his style, Paul says he wants “to bring a jibber style to the backcountry.”
Since the initial meeting, Robinson’s respect for Paul grew to the point where he extended and invitation to collaborate on a video with filmer and editor Sam Tuor. Working on the yet-untitled Tuor release this winter was Paul’s most serious video-based endeavor to date, but he’s no stranger to moviemaking. One full-length (last year’s Any Ideas?) and a handful of comedy-driven web edits from FunBlock Films--the DIY movie crew started by Paul and his J-Hole friends Cam Fitzpatrick, Dan Rodonsky and Cam Walters--have amassed thousands of views.

Though the FunBlock movies are peppered with comedy skits, Paul says the prior experience of shooting and editing his own segments has helped him while working with Tuor.
“When you’re out shooting, after you’ve edited some stuff and figured out what looks cool, you can definitely picture how you would edit some of the shots,” Paul says. “It definitely helps to have some editing experience and to know what you like when you’re watching a video.”
This summer Paul will be joining Robinson and crew in Chile to finish up shooting for the project, which will be out this October. Fresh off high school graduation, Paul says he’s chosen full-time dedication to snowboarding over college, and in addition to looking forward to more filming opportunities in the coming season, he says his main goal is elevating his riding.
“I want to take all the tricks that I have and just do them on bigger stuff,” Paul says. “Of course I want to try new tricks, but I just want to move on to more man-sized features.”
Though his primary focus right now is filming, Paul says he plans on competing in The North Face Masters events next season, and that competing elsewhere isn’t outside the realm of possibility. “Being from Jackson, I’m just going to follow that type of riding, but if I get a chance to do a slope contest, it’d be cool to try and see where I end up,” Paul says. “I’m not trying to do X Games right now, that’s not on my agenda, but who knows.”
Paul says he’s hopeful that his video part this fall will be somewhat of a coming out party to the industry, and his collaborators agree.“He’s at the point where he’s about to bust into a really amazing career in snowboarding if he wants to,” Robinson says. “He’s better than most, all, the kids his age. I guess that’s relative, better is a relative term. [Snowboarding is] an art. He’s not doing triple-corks, but he’s really, really good.”
Aside from standing out in the crowd, Paul says another benefit of riding something different everyday is avoiding that dreaded trap of getting burnt out on snowboarding, which Paul says he’s been cautioned about by his older mentors.
“I ride pretty much every day no matter what and always have fun, so I can’t imagine ever getting burnt out on it, but you’ve got to make sure you keep things fresh,” Paul says. “I can’t really envision doing anything else.”

Henderson interview: ‘I’m not done yet’
"With both of our careers, we've done a lot in the sport. You match two guys up like that, and with me probably being the underdog and a smaller guy, I have a lot more to gain than he does. I have a lot less to lose, and those fights are always the most fun for me," he told Cagewriter
Henderson will fight in a weight class much larger than any of his other fights, against a man who, until recently, was considered unstoppable. At 40 years old and with a legacy in combat sports set, why do it?
"The challenge of things, and things like fighting Fedor. That's the biggest challenge of my career. Those are things that excite me and motivate me to keep going," Henderson said.
In this bout, he won't defend his recently-won Strikeforce light-heavyweight belt. That hardly matters to Henderson.
"No, when I'm out there, I don't think, [expletive], the belt's not on the line. I better not hit this guy. I'm just as motivated when I train."
But the prospect of uniting light heavyweight titles across Strikeforce and the UFC does interest Henderson. When Henderson signed with Strikeforce, it seemed an impossibility, but Zuffa's purchase of Strikeforce changed that.
"As soon as Zuffa bought Strikeforce, Jon Jones fought right after that. Everybody was blowing up my Twitter about fighting Jon Jones. I think that fight would be fun for me because he's so unorthodox. It's something that probably needs to be built up after I defend the belt once or twice."
Focused on Fedor
And it's not the fight that Henderson is focused on at the moment. Though he says that he never bought into the mystique of Fedor Emelianenko, he does respect what the Russian fighter has accomplished.
"I knew that he was talented and tough and there every fight. Those are the types of guys that are pretty consistent and I would never bet against him."
Like all fight fans, Henderson has wondered what happened to Emelianenko in his last few fights, which were losses to Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Silva.
"Looking on the outside, his heart hasn't been into it. He's hardly trained. Ever since PRIDE, he doesn't look like he's put much into it. I'm hoping he gets rejuvenated."
Timing was a key part in putting this fight together.
"It was something that was interesting to me, that could possibly make everyone a lot of money, but things had to fall in the right way. With me losing my first fight, and then him losing, I thought it wasn't going to happen. Just the way things have gone in the light heavyweight division and then Fedor getting mugged by a really big heavyweight, they started looking at fighting littler guys. I'm probably about as little as he'll get to fight ever in his life. "
Henderson, who normally walks around at 204 lbs., has no plans of getting bigger to fight Emelianenko, who weighed in for his last fight at 230 lbs.
"It won't change a whole lot at all, except at weigh-ins, I'll drink water to make sure I'm over 205 lbs. I don't typically weigh over 205 much at all."
With a loss to Henderson, Emelianenko's management indicated that he might retire. Henderson doesn't want to see him walk away from MMA, but that doesn't mean he intends to hold back on July 30.
"No, I'm a fan of his like everyone else. I don't want to see him retire. But that won't stop me from beating him, either. "
Retirement isn't on Henderson's mind. He still wants to accomplish more, but he thanks his open approach to the sport for his long, successful career.
"My first fight, I hadn't done any training in MMA. I was just a wrestler. To learn along the way has been fun, and to evolve with the sport, and having the mentality that I could learn from anybody. That, and being smart over the years with my training."
That open-minded work ethic, and one other thing.
"Viagra," he said with a laugh.
UFC adding flyweight division and all main events will be five-rounders
The promotion has begun to sign 125-pounders. White said he's considering a long-form tournament to decidethe first UFC flyweight champion, but that concept is far from set in stone.
The five-round fights has long been a debated topic. The UFC toyed with the idea earlier in the year. The promotion considered making the Brock Lesnar-Junior dos Santos fight a five-rounder. They also looked at the Phil Davis-Rashad Evans fight at UFC 133 and Chris Lytle vs. Dan Hardy at UFC on Versus 4, but decided to push back the idea because three-round bout agreements had already been signed.
"You're mentally training for a three-round fight. To come back and say, 'Oh, it's five rounds now,' you can't do that to a guy," said White.
White said the time has arrived.
"I like it. I think there's some fights that aren't title fights that are main events, and it ends up being three [rounds], and it should have been five. I'm a big fan of it, and we're working on that right now."
-- White met with Roy Nelson, called the meeting productive, but there is still no official word on "Big Country's" future with the promotion. White said the time has passed for fat jokes and he's not buying Nelson's explanation that he was sick before the Frank Mir fight at UFC 130.
"I said, 'The fat thing was funny for a minute. It's not funny anymore,'" White said of the meeting.
"The thing with Roy is, Roy feels like he's an athlete that can perform. He says, 'If you look at my entire career, I've performed at this weight,'" White said. "There's talks of him being sick the week before the fight. I don't not believe him. I guess he had walking pneumonia, but Frank Mir did, too. Frank Mir was sick that week, too."
-- Denver will host UFC 135 on Sept. 24. Jon Jones will defend his UFC light heavyweight against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Diego Sanchez will also face former UFC welterweight champ Matt Hughes.

A sneak peek at the next version of Android Market and Music app
In what is probably a bit of a big-G whoopsie, the folks at Tech From 10 woke up to find a new, test version of Android Market installed on their Galaxy S.
Visually, the new version is almost identical. The carousel of featured apps has been updated slightly, and apps now have a 'Content rating,' but that's it (image after the break). The interesting bit, however, is the inclusion of alpha and beta apps -- most notably, there's a new version of the Music app, which looks like a scaled-down version of the Android 3.0 Honeycomb Music app (see right).
Also available from the test Android Market is 'Google Gallery 3D New 10.2', 'Google - Camera v12' and 'Google Desk Clock 10' -- but, curiously, all of the apps refused to launch on Tech From 10's Galaxy S (Vibrant) smartphone. Are they Honeycomb apps? Or, more likely, are they destined for the next Android smartphone OS, Ice Cream?
If you want to try out the new Honeycombish Music app, Tech From 10 has made the APK available for download. You can also download the three Google apps, if you want to have a poke around.Continue reading A sneak peek at the next version of Android Market and Music appA sneak peek at the next version of Android Market and Music app originally appeared on Download Squad on Tue, 05 Apr 2011 06:00:00 EST. Gladinet maps Amazon Cloud Drive to your Windows desktop
The service could be a little easier to use, however. Until Amazon releases a desktop client, Windows users might want to take another look at Gladinet. The multi-service cloud connector has now added Amazon Cloud Drive support and will let you map a network drive letter to your account with minimal fuss.
Once you've added your credentials to Gladinet, just pick the letter you want to assign to the drive and you're good to go. You can then copy files to and from your Cloud Drive, rename items, and manage folders like you would any local hard drive in your system.
The only downside is that the free version of Gladinet gives you a limited number of cloud interactions. Once you use those up, you'll need to upgrade to the paid version, which costs $49.99. If you work with a number of cloud-based storage providers, however, it could be well worth the price tag.Gladinet maps Amazon Cloud Drive to your Windows desktop originally appeared on Download Squad on Mon, 04 Apr 2011 09:30:00 EST. Britney Spears, Nicki Minaj And Ke$ha 'Till The World Ends' Remix Leaks
Britney Spears' "Til The World Ends"
Photo: Jive
Britney Spears isn't the only pop titan dancing until the world ends: Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha have joined forces to add a new spin on an all-female remix of Femme Fatale's second single, "Till the World Ends."
The reworked dance anthem, which leaked online Friday (April 22), appears to have surfaced earlier than expected as noted by a series of countdowns on all three of the stars' websites.
Mixing the dance tune's original sonic swirls with heavier bass, Britney tourmate Minaj starts off the remix by throwing down an aggressive verse, in which she calls out a female hater: "A-A-A-A-A-AYE!/ Chimpanzees is hatin', but I take it all in stride/ Put her in a jungle with bananas on the side/ Told you they'd revive your career, but somebody lied/ I ain't talkin' poultry when I say this chicken's fried."
After Minaj spits a few introductory bars, Spears delivers the song's first verse before an introduction for the all-star trio. "It's Britney, bitch. I'm Nicki Minaj and that's Ke$ha!" the Young Money MC proclaims.
Ke$ha, who originally wrote the track for the pop princess, takes part in singing the club-ready track's chorus. Spears soon takes back control of the song as Ke$ha shadows the singer's lines toward the end of the second verse and bridge. Unlike the original version, the "Till the World Ends" remix also features a stuttering dubstep dance break.
News of a star-studded collaboration was hinted earlier this week when producer Dr. Luke tweeted, "@NICKIMINAJ killed it tonight!!!! thanks!!!"

Clarence Clemons, In Memoriam: The Big Man, In More Ways Than One
Clarence Clemons
Photo: Getty Images
Clarence Clemons was affectionately known as "The Big Man," probably because, well, he was a big man. Standing six-feet, four-inches tall -- and nearly just as wide -- he towered over Bruce Springsteen, the E Street Band, and whomever else he shared the stage with during his five-decade career, casting a shadow as formidable as it was striking (it's no wonder Bruce decided to lean on him, like some sort of lamppost, on the cover of 1975's Born To Run).
But his physical size only told part of the story. Because Clemons was also a massive talent, a saxophonist as adept at filing an arena with his booming solos as he was providing a rock-solid backbone to Springsteen's churning, yearning rock. He was the Big Man because everything ran through him, because he was capable of both taking the lead (like on "Jungleland") and laying back in the cut (like on "10th Avenue Freeze Out," where his presence definitely shapes the song, but at no point overshadows its other components), and because of the tones he charmed from his sax ... crisp and clear-eyed, grandiose yet gritty, big yet decidedly blue-collar (just like he was), no one played like Clarence did. And when he died on Saturday at the age of 69 after complications from a stroke he suffered last week, not only did we lose a mountain of a man, but an icon as well.
See photos of Clemons throughout his career.
Simply put, Clemons was the most prominent sax player in popular music. And as proof, I'll ask you to name any of his contemporaries. Chances are, you can't; not because they don't exist, but because they couldn't begin to approach his stature. He was the go-to guy when the stars needed a session hand (recording with the likes of Aretha Franklin and Twisted Sister, and performing live with everyone from the Grateful Dead to Ringo Starr,) and, more recently, Lady Gaga tapped him to perform on her Born This Way album -- he appears in her new "The Edge Of Glory" video, a move that no doubt introduced his sublime playing to a whole new generation of fans. Shoot, he even appeared on "The Simpsons," "The Wire" and "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure," where he played, fittingly enough, one of the Three Most Important People in the World.
Remember Clemons with us on Facebook.
In passing, he leaves behind a catalog that's nearly as massive as his frame: not only his notable guest appearances, but several solo albums (and records he cut with backing bands like the Temple of Soul and the Red Bank Rockers) and, of course, the myriad of albums he cut with Springsteen and the E Street Band. And it's on those recordings -- starting with 1973's Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. and continuing right on through 2009's Working on a Dream and last year's reissue The Promise -- where Clemons not only shone the brightest, but also showcased the reason why he earned his "Big Man" nickname. Sure, he burns on songs like "Badlands" and "Born To Run," but listen to his work on songs like "Prove It All Night" and "Dancing in the Dark" (to name six dozen) ... the times where he proves to be the Bigger Man, letting his fellow bandmates get their share, too.
Rarely has there been a player so soulful and selfless ... one so secure in his own status that he was willing to let others shine. It's why Clarence Clemons will forever be known as "The Big Man," and why, even in death, he still casts a formidable shadow over popular music and popular culture. He was the sax man's sax man. To paraphrase Springsteen on "Freeze Out," not only was the change was made uptown when the Big Man joined the band, but the mould was broken, too.
