Fans are still buzzing about how Paré's character, a secretary to Don Draper, fares in the season-four finale.By MTV News staff

On the season finale of "Mad Men," Jessica Paré made the leap from ancillary background character (who slept, on one occasion, with the brooding Don Draper) to a full-blown focal point of the show. Her demure, delicate Megan — Draper's fill-in secretary — eventually began a whirlwind romance with her boss, one that culminated in ... well, we're not going to ruin the season-four finale if you haven't seen it yet.
But sufficed to say, season five is going to be pretty interesting. The role of Megan is unquestionably Paré's big break here in the U.S. — as evidenced by her current popularity on Google Trends — one that comes more than a decade after she first began acting in TV series like "Big Wolf on Campus" and films like the Canadian indie flick "Stardom," which screened at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. She's also worked steadily on both the big and small screens, landing roles in films like "Lost and Delirious" and "Wicker Park," and the short-lived WB drama "Jack & Bobby." (She also had a memorable cameo in last year's "Hot Tub Time Machine.")
But "Mad Men" is by far her biggest opportunity to date. And, oddly enough, the role of Megan is one that fits her perfectly. Like her character, Paré grew up in Montreal and is fluent in both English and French. Her father, Anthony, is a professor at McGill University, and her mother is a translator. Oh, and much like Megan, Paré loves children, telling
AMCTV.com that she grew up in an "enormous family" (her father has eight siblings, all of whom have kids), and that she "loved" working with Kiernan Shipka and Jared Gilmore, the young actors who play Draper's children.
Oh, and if you're still reeling from what happened between Megan and Don on the season finale, well, you're not the only one ... Paré told AMC that when she first learned she had landed the role, her initial thought was: "I was worried that I was gonna fall down an elevator shaft."

UFC 120's Three Stars: Condit, Sass and Gustaffson
UFC 120 is over and well, at least you didn't have to spend any of your hard-earned cash on that card. Some performances did stand out, and for that, they get a bright, shiny gold star. No. 1 star -- Carlos Condit: Sometimes, the only way to shut a man up is to knock him out. Condit did just that, ending Dan Hardy's trash talk with a flush left hook in the first round. At least Hardy had no problem admitting why he lost, telling the crowd in London, "I got punched in the face." For the KO, Condit was awarded a $60,000 Knockout of the Night bonus.No. 2 star -- Paul Sass: In his UFC debut, Sass slapped a tight triangle choke onto Mark Holst like he had done it many times before. That's because he has. Of Sass's 11 wins, eight have come by triangle choke. This won earned him an extra $60,000 for Submission of the Night. No. 3 star -- Alexander Gustaffson: The Swedish fighter owned Cyrille Diabate in the first round, then finished the fight in the second round. He started with a rear naked choke, but when Diabate wouldn't tap, Gustaffson had the good sense to let go off the choke, throw a series of punches and then grab the choke again. After that, Diabate had no choice but to tap.

Jessica Szohr Brightens Up the "Gossip Girl" Set
Kicking off another work week, Jessica Szohr turned up on the set of "Gossip Girl" in New York City on Monday (October 18).
Donning quite the interestingly clashing ensemble, the Vanessa Abrams actress chatted on her cell phone while preparing to shoot scenes with co-stars Penn Badgley and Chace Crawford.
The day's work outing comes just as Miss Szohr's on/off beau Ed Westwick offered up an interview to Bang Showbiz about how he's only ever loved one woman - his mother.
Leaving Jess out of the conversation, Ed dished, "I?ve only been in love once - with my mom. There?s only one woman in my life. Am I a mummy?s boy? Absolutely. I love her."
Continuing on, Westwick told, "I was a 24/7 stud. It came effortlessly, girls were dripping off me. No, not at all. I'm joking. I was jealous of one of my friends at school because he was always dating the older, good-looking girls. That never happened to me."
He adds, " I like girls who can hold a conversation - and a pretty face doesn?t hurt. But I don?t have a type. I?ve been attracted to girls and it is not about looks. You get that connection and sometimes it?s totally involuntary.?
