Henderson gives Strikeforce another KO with win over Sobral
ST. LOUIS -- Dan Henderson came back from his loss to Jake Shields with a knockout of Renato "Babalu" Sobral on Saturday night for the main card of Strikeforce's St. Louis event.Henderson wobbled Sobral with a series of strikes. Sobral grabbed for Henderson's leg, which proved to be a big mistakes, as Henderson got on top of him and landed several strikes. Sobral tried to scramble, but Henderson stood over him and landed power strikes until the fight was stopped at 1:53.After the bout, Henderson said his body felt better than it's been in years. "A lot of people said I was done in this sport, but I've got a lot left in me," the 40-year-old fighter said. Henderson's bout with Shields was a boring, five-round decision loss, but he was at middleweight. Henderson definitely looks more comfortable at light heavyweight, and clearly has knockout power. Henderson later said that he would like to stay at light heavyweight, but he is going to let Strikeforce and their CEO Scott Coker decide what's best. Looking ahead at 2011, Henderson was non-committal about what he wanted to do next."Not to lose again. I think that's a pretty good goal to have," Henderson said.
