Prince William Kate Middleton Wedding Guiness World Record Book

The upcoming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton -- just three weeks away! -- will go down in history in its own right, but it's also poised to shatter some records.
It looks like Kate and Wills could walk away not just newlyweds, but titleholders of distinction in the book of Guinness World Records, according to People magazine, which delved into the record books to anticipate the ranking of the first nationally televised wedding since William's parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, got married on July 29, 1981. Here's a taste of what they uncovered:
Biggest TV audience for a wedding: Probable
The current titleholders are Prince Charles and Lady Diana, whose wedding garnered 750 million TV viewers in 74 countries. Some people think their son's wedding could be an even higher draw, topping 1 billion viewers; others think it might not even match the 750 million mark.
Most expensive slice of wedding cake: Maybe
A piece of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor's 1937 wedding cake sold at Sotheby's in 1998 for $29,900. William and Kate's multi-tiered fruitcake could bring in as much or more decades down the road, not necessarily depending on the yum factor of the confection.
Most searched-for celebrity wedding: Almost certain
Perhaps surprisingly, Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom's 2009 wedding is the current titleholder for web searches. But that's almost certain to fall as searches for info about a couple with true worldwide appeal will likely outpace even the juggernaut that is the Kardashian family.
Longest wedding dress train: No
No one could forget the length of Diana's train -- 25 feet -- but its not the longest ever created. That title belongs to artist Lichel van den Ende, who in 2009 created a train that measured more than 8,164 feet -- about a mile and a half. And though Kate's dress, or dresses, will no doubt be stunning, it's extremely unlikely that her train will be long enough to go out the door and around the block of Westminster Abbey.
